Privacy at Astoveth

What personal data Astoveth touches (very little), why, and how to use your UK GDPR rights.

9 linesAbout 1 min to read

01At a glance

There is nothing to sign up for and nothing measuring you: no accounts, no analytics, no adverts and no scripts from other companies. We keep personal information to the bare minimum.

02Data controller

Astoveth publishes astoveth.co.uk and decides how the little personal data mentioned here is handled. You can reach us at hello@astoveth.co.uk.

03Emails to us

If you email us, we use your address and message for one thing, answering you, on the basis of our legitimate interest in doing so. We delete the exchange when it is finished, unless it led to a correction we need to keep a note of.

04Hosting records

The web host may briefly keep standard technical records, for example the IP address, the browser and the page asked for, so the site stays secure and online. Nobody uses them to build a picture of visitors, and old records are removed automatically.

05Your browser

Only one small preference is kept in your browser: that you dismissed the cookie note. The dive planner, its timer and the self-check live in the open tab and keep nothing.

06Passing data on

Personal data is never sold, rented or swapped. It is passed on only if a law obliges us to.

07Leaving for a game site

When you follow a button to a game’s official site you are on another company’s website, under its own privacy notice.

08What you can ask for

Under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 you may find out what we hold about you, ask for it to be fixed or erased and object to its use. We answer within a month, and you can take a complaint to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

09Young readers

This site is meant for everyone and does not set out to collect anything from children. If a child has written to us, a parent or carer can ask for the message to be deleted.
